International Research Group (IRG) on Tourism, Hospitality and Food 

The International Research Group (IRG) on Tourism, Hospitality and Food started in 2020 from the initiative of four Academics of various nationalities (Polish, South African, Zimbabwean and Italian) working in South Africa and Poland in the tourism, hospitality and food research fields.

The reason to start this research group was to advance a regular collaborative initiative on research projects of mutual interest and work towards the development of a more formal research entity. Beside publications the IRG on Tourism, Hospitality and Food also aim to work together in Conferences, student supervisions and any other possible valuable new projects opportunity. 

We believe the tourism, hospitality and food sectors are of the upmost importance in most of the countries in the world and more research is required to make tourism, hospitality and food sector more valuable for the benefits of the community. The IRG on Tourism, Hospitality and Food is directed towards shifting tourism development strategies towards be more sustainable, working for community well-being and reducing inequality and poverty.
